Wow, what a deal. $17.9 million dollars for one year of work?? You’d have to be a crazy person to turn down that type of money. There aren’t many jobs in the universe that you can get nearly $18 million dollars for, so Bryce should really think about it. Would be pretty unreasonable to have that sort of deal on paper in front of you and not sign on the dotted line.

Needless to say, Bryce will be entering free agency and not signing his one year QO. (In case you don’t realize it, the Nats don’t come up with that $17.9 million number). I’ve long been resigned to the fact it’s unlikely he’s staying in Washington. My best guess, like everyone else’s, is it’s between the Cubs and Yankees. The Phillies seem to be making a big push, but I don’t know, I don’t see it. Or maybe he’ll throw everyone for a loop and go to the West Coast to be closer to home. Dodgers or something? I hope he stays but I think it’s unlikely. And we’ll find out…on the cover of The Show
